What led me to do this series of photos?

I could say it was the idea that, often in order to start again, one has to destroy what has been. Go back to ground zero in order to freely start over.

I could say that, truly, I did no destruction, but a reverse sculptural process. Reverse in the sense that it ended the absence of form…

I could say that I did no destruction because to destroy is to make disappear, and I searched for new forms that seemed to be more interesting before the nothingness.

I could say that I truly did no destruction because the object that ceased to exist gave place to a photographic record.

I could try and say more about motivated this series, but it is probably more genuine to say that I simply enjoy to destroy.
